Bookings → Spaces, services and public page, Closures section.
Why go through there
The temptation, when you go on holiday, is to delete your services. It is a bad idea: when you come back you have to enter everything again, and bookings already taken on those services are left orphaned.
A closure is made for this. You set a period, nothing can be booked in it any more — neither online nor by phone — and your settings stay intact. You have nothing to undo when you come back.
What you enter
- From / To — leave the end date empty to close a single day.
- What closes — the whole venue, or a single room. A private event handled outside Klarr, building work in the cellar: you close the room concerned, the rest keeps running.
- A reason — it is shown to the guest on your booking page. "Summer holidays" is better than an empty box that looks like a bug.
What the guest sees
On a closed day, your page doesn't show your services crossed out one by one: it says it is closed, and why. Listing unavailable slots gives the impression you could insist somewhere.
Everywhere at once
When the whole venue closes, you have nothing else to do. Klarr picks it up everywhere:
- your website shows a banner at the top of the page in the three weeks before, and lists your closures under your opening hours;
- your booking page warns even before a date is chosen;
- your assistant knows it, and answers "we are closed on the 24th" to anyone who asks;
- Google and assistants like ChatGPT read it in your page's information, next to your opening hours;
- your Google listing: Klarr adds it to its special opening hours as soon as Google gives it access. Until then, add it yourself on business.google.com, otherwise Google will show "Open".
A room or a service closed on its own is not announced: the venue stays open, and saying so everywhere would drive guests away.
If you close afterwards
You can close a day on which guests are already expected. Klarr doesn't delete them or notify them by itself: the service screen shows a banner and keeps the list visible, so you know whom to call back.
Reopening
The Reopen button next to the closure. The slot can be booked again straight away.
