As soon as your menu is published, Klarr makes its QR code by itself. It is on the Menu screen, below the publishing block.
What it opens
The address of your whole menu: klarr.net/carte/your-restaurant. The guest scans with their phone camera, nothing to install.
This page is made to be read standing up, on a small screen: the dishes, their photos, their prices, and a button to book next time.
Printing it
Two downloads:
- PNG — it is what printers and layout tools like Canva expect. Take this one by default.
- SVG — vector, which stays sharp at any size. Give this one to your printer if you are having table tents made.
Printing tips
Don't make it too small: 3 cm per side is a comfortable minimum on a table.
Leave white space around it. A QR stuck edge to edge in a frame scans badly.
The code can take a bit of damage — it is made with error correction that absorbs about 15% damage. A sauce stain won't kill it; a torn-off corner will.
If it leads nowhere
The QR only exists if your menu is published. If you remove it from your page, the address stops responding and so does the download — a QR placed on thirty tables that leads to an empty page is worse than no QR at all.
So if yours no longer works: first check that your menu is still published.
Good news: the address never changes. You can change your menu as much as you want, add dishes, change prices — the QR already printed stays valid.
