Entering and publishing your menu

Your dishes, in the order of a meal, with photos, visible to your guests.

Menu, in your venue's left-hand menu.

Your menu already exists? Send it

No need to type everything again. In the "Your menu already exists? Klarr enters it for you" block, choose your menu as a PDF or a photo (3 MB at most) and click Read my menu. About twenty seconds later, Klarr shows you the dishes it read, sorted by section, with their description and price.

Everything is ticked: untick what you don't want, then Add. Nothing reaches your menu without this review. A dish already there is not added a second time, and a section that already exists is kept as it is.

Klarr copies your menu, it doesn't rewrite it. It never guesses allergens: tick them yourself, dish by dish, once the import is done.

On an empty menu, the block shows directly. Otherwise, it is folded above the form.

Adding a dish

Four fields: the category (Starters, Mains, Desserts…), the name of the dish, an optional description and a price.

The price is typed the way it is written: 14,50 or 14.50, both work. Leave it empty if you don't want to show it — "depending on the catch" is not zero euros, and a dish without a price stays without a price for the guest.

The category stays filled in from one dish to the next: a menu is entered block by block, not zigzagging. If you write "entrées" when "Entrées" already exists, Klarr groups them: no duplicate because of a capital letter.

The order

Your categories are shown in the order you arrange them, not alphabetically. A menu is read in the order of the meal.

The ↑ ↓ arrows move a dish within its category, and those next to the title move the whole category, its dishes with it. A dish never changes category when moved.

Taking a dish off

The fish didn't arrive this morning: click Take off. The dish disappears from the guest's menu but stays with you, with its description and price. Put back restores it. You retype nothing.

Delete, on the other hand, erases it for good.

Photos

Each dish can have one photo. Click the "Photo" square to the left of the dish and choose your file — 4 MB maximum.

A guest chooses with their eyes: the photographed tartare gets ordered, the described tartare gets read. You don't have to put photos everywhere, half of a menu is never photographed and that is fine.

Publishing

Until you click Publish on my page, your menu is only visible to you. It is deliberate: a menu typed to try things out has no business suddenly appearing at a public address.

Once published, it appears on your booking page, below the availability, and gets its own page — the one the QR code opens.

Remove from my page unpublishes it straight away, from both places.
