Experiences, from the Bookings page.
An experience is not a table booking: it is a session with limited places, at a displayed price, that comes back on a schedule. A cocktail class every Thursday at 6 pm, a pasta workshop on Saturday lunchtime.
What you set
Everything, on purpose — no two restaurants do the same thing:
- the name and the description;
- the price per person;
- the number of places per session;
- the duration, if you want to display it;
- the days and the time;
- an optional period — a Christmas workshop doesn't run all year;
- a notice period, as for a service;
- prepayment or payment on site. A free introductory workshop isn't prepaid.
The places
The places in a session are independent of your rooms' capacity. Twelve places at the cocktail bar are not twelve covers at dinner.
A place booked but not yet paid holds the place: otherwise, two guests would pay for the same stool.
A limit to know about
In this version, a session does not occupy the room as far as the availability engine is concerned.
If your cocktail class and a private event fall at the same time in the same room, nothing will flag it. It is up to you not to do it — or to set a closure on the room concerned.
It is the most important limit of this feature, so better to know it before relying on it.
What the guest sees
Your experiences appear on your booking page, below the slots, with the next sessions and the places left. If there is prepayment, the guest pays by card through your Stripe account — the same setup as deposits, with no Klarr commission.
