Klarr needs three things to start taking bookings for you: your venue, at least one room, and at least one service. As long as one of the three is missing, your booking page has nothing to offer and stays closed.
1. Your venue
From the dashboard, Add a restaurant. The name and address are enough.
The quickest way: type the name and the town in Find your Google listing, then choose your place from the list. Klarr takes the name, address, phone number, website, type of cuisine and opening hours from your Google listing, and links your listing along the way. All you have to do is read it over before confirming. No Google listing? Simply fill in the form below.
The name is the one your guests will see, at the top of your booking page. It is also used to build the address of that page, so write it the way you want it to be read.
You can manage several venues with the same account: they appear side by side on the dashboard, each with its own settings.
2. Your rooms
Go to Bookings, then Spaces, services and public page.
A room is a place that seats guests: the downstairs room, the first floor, the terrace, the cellar. For each one, you give:
- a name — the one you use, not a technical name;
- a capacity in covers — the number of people you can seat there at the same time;
- what it accepts: individual bookings, private hire, or both.
A room that only accepts private hire is only rented as a whole. A group that takes it takes all of it, and Klarr will never offer a table for two there at the same time.
If you offer private hire, say from how many guests. Below that, Klarr will politely refuse rather than have you block a room for six people.
3. Your services
Still in the same place, further down.
A service is a time slot during which you take bookings: lunch, dinner. For each one:
- the name and the start and end times;
- the days of the week it runs;
- the notice period: how many hours before the service you stop accepting online requests. Put 0 if you take last-minute bookings.
A service can end after midnight. Simply enter 5:30 pm to 2 am: Klarr understands that the end is the next day and shows it clearly.
Lunch and dinner count separately. A room privatised at lunch remains available in the evening.
4. Opening your page
Once you have at least one room and one service, a button appears: Open my booking page.
Klarr then builds an address derived from your venue's name. That is the one you share on your Google listing, your Instagram and your Facebook page.
Take the opportunity to add, on the same screen:
- your logo, shown at the top of your page;
- your legal notice, shown at the bottom. You are the one contracting with the guest, not Klarr: company name, SIRET number, address, cancellation terms.
What next?
Your guests can book. Requests arrive in Bookings, and what you need to do on the day happens on the service screen.
